This styled shoot shows how Fairbank Wedding Barn can be adapted to suit any theme

A group of local suppliers work together to decorate Fairbank Wedding Barn for this styled shoot. "We decided to go with two different themes," says photographer Ailsa Reeve. "For the romantic elegant look, we used a muted colour palette with a more structured dress to create a modern, clean feel. Whereas the wild summer feel was all about using lots of hues to create a more relaxed and informal atmosphere. The trestle tables and cross back chairs added to the barn vibe with a wicker archway and bud vases filled with colourful flowers."... read more

Verity and Michael had a colourful celebration at Charnock Farm

Verity and Michael met in 2013 during a night out. "We had loads in common and realised we went to the same primary school and grew up near each other," says Verity. "He was shy, but I was determined to get to know him. It was out of character for me to go up to someone I didn't know, but he was so kind and gentle that I trusted him straight away. After chatting and dancing, I wrote my number on his arm as he had no phone or social media. A week later, he popped up on my phone and was worried I might have forgotten about him."... read more

How to incorporate a slideshow into your best man’s speech

Here at County Wedding Magazines HQ we've heard it many times before "they could relax once the speeches were given".
This anxiety of the wedding speeches affects not only the groom but also the groomsmen. Whether you enjoy public speaking or not, there's a lot of pressure on the best man to remember to thank the bride, do justice to the groom without revealing his worst stories, and crucially be funny - but not so funny you ruin the big day!

If you've a wedding on the horizon and need some tips, James Robinson, Marketing Manager at presentation design agency Buffalo 7 offers his top tips on incorporating a slideshow in to the speech to help with proceedings...... read more

A talented team of suppliers worked together to create two different looks at Calthwaite Hall

This styled shoot shows how to create two different themes. The organiser, Jacinta Cooper from Simply Koko Bridal, tells us more: "As soon as I arrived at Calthwaite Hall, I was taken aback by the stunning hall, gardens and newly built conservatory. Our first theme was a formal, rich look. I worked closely with Flowers by Valerie Jayne to express the beauty and diversity of the venue, from the wild garlic growing in the grounds to the almost Gothic building that had been added to over time. After careful preparation by Hairstyles by Adry and The InstaGlammer, the couple went on to have a jewellery consultation, which took place in the formal dining room with Desert Diamonds North/UK. I wanted to dress the bride in a feminine ballgown, with a long elegant veil that could be used as a prop by our fabulous photographers Kevin and Carol. The groom looked handsome in his grey silk morning suit, chosen by the team at Tie the Knot 007.... read more
