Just a wedding

When Mark Lee from Mark Lee Photography set up this shoot at Cheshire's Park Manor, he wanted to seek out like minded suppliers to collaborate on creating stunning inclusive images; and what better showcase this gorgeous shoot than Pride Month! Mark says, "For months I've been coming across posts on Facebook on issues from the LGBTQ+ community over double standards within the wedding industry. Some finding that they were being charged more or that some suppliers just wouldn't work with a same sex couple. Then a supplier wanted to know how to create a logo for same sex supplier so not to offend. And another supplier unsure how to word his contract... this got me thinking. Why is this so difficult? Why does there need to be an issue regardless of who you are and who you want to marry? The law has changed so why are people still living in the dark ages? It's time to accept everyone."... read more

How to choose a pet carer for your big day

Congratulations on your engagement and upcoming wedding! We understand that pets are a huge part of the family, and it's only natural that you would want them to be part of your wedding. The best way to choose your pet care is to see which businesses are recommended by your venue, as they often have a good working relationship with them. Once you have your recommended suppliers, see which ones are close to the property, have qualifications such as Pet First Aid, have good reviews and are fully insured. Venues often have groups on social media where you can ask previous wedding parties for their opinions.... read more

Paws for thought – why having a ‘pet-nuptial’ agreement is the ultimate preparation

Couples who have adopted a pet during the pandemic can save themselves the unnecessary heartache of losing shared pets by arranging a 'pet-nuptial' agreement in case – obviously here at County Wedding Magazines HQ we truly hope it's not the case – of future separation with their partner. For custody of furry friends, there is currently no official legally binding measures in place for what happens to pets after a breakup. Legally a pet is seen as an asset, and as with any assets in a divorce, ownership will be decided by the court - however having a prearranged agreement in place, commonly known as a prenuptial agreement, can assist the court to make a decision.... read more
