Charming English Country House Lindeth Fell, which overlooks Windermere in the Lake District, will be offering its lavish afternoon tea with a festive twist until January.
The Arts & Crafts house stands in seven private acres of its own Thomas Mawson designed gardens and offers stunning views of England’s largest lake and the Coniston mountains but is just a few minutes from the heart of Bowness and some of the best walking and cycling routes in the Lake District, providing an idyllic Winter escape.
Its Festive Afternoon Tea is available now until January 11th and can be enjoyed by a crackling fire in the Lounge or with stunning lake views in the Restaurant and can be followed by a walk around Lindeth Fell’s beautiful grounds.
The tea will be a Christmassy feast of goodies including a selection of finger sandwiches with fillings such as roast turkey with cranberry sauce, pastrami with red onion, devilled eggs, and cheese and chutney, plus freshly baked plain and fruit scones with jam and clotted cream, followed by an array of homemade cakes and treats including Battenburg, mince pies with rum butter, Gâteaux Opéra and chocolate eclairs.
It will be served with a choice of loose-leaf tea, fresh ground coffee, or hot chocolate for those looking for maximum cosiness.
Lindeth Fell offers 14 bedrooms with lovely views, super-king beds, squishy armchairs, sparkling bathrooms and home-made biscuits for those looking for a peaceful Christmassy break. A double room costs from £199 per night including breakfast.
Lindeth Fell’s Festive Afternoon Tea costs £31.50 person and pre-booking is essential.
