Tie the knot at Samlesbury Hall

Samlesbury Hall is surrounded by ancient woodland, colourful flowerbeds, a rose garden and a cobbled Italian courtyard. The 700-year-old property boasts a black and white exterior, oak-panelled walls, open fireplaces, stained glass windows and 28 on-site shepherds' huts.

Ceremonies can take place in The Parlour, an original dining room that dates back to the 14th-century, with space for 30 loved ones throughout the day.

Alternatively, The Whittaker Room is available, with room for 90 nearest and dearest for the vows. For larger celebrations, The Great Hall is ideal. It's a beautiful area that can accommodate up to 120 friends and family for the service, meal and reception.

If the weather is nice, couples can also have a celebrant-led service outside in the grounds.

Nearlyweds will receive a complimentary night's stay in a shepherd's hut.
