Armathwaite Hall Hotel & Spa is a 17th-century property situated near Keswick on the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake. This four-star former stately home is set in the secluded splendour of 400 acres of deer park and woodland and is framed by the dramatic Skiddaw Mountain and Lake District Fells. As you arrive at this privately owned hotel, you will receive a warm welcome within the grand surroundings. Explorers will find luxurious wood-panelled lounges complete with roaring fires, elaborately framed paintings, luxurious bedrooms, and an award-winning spa.

Celebrate in style
There are a variety of wedding spaces available, with options to suit a range of budgets and styles. Intimate ceremonies for up to 20 guests are ideally suited to the privacy of The Estate Office Room, while the Broadwater Suite, with its floor-to-ceiling windows boasting magnificent views out to the lake, is perfect for services for up to 120 loved ones.

For a more contemporary feel, the Lime Tree Suite, with its beautiful garden terrace and space for 70 nearest and dearest, is ideal.

Alternatively, the Lake View Lounge with glittering chandeliers, can hold 80.

Al fresco celebrations are held in the Woodland Gazebo, Armathwaite Hall Hotel & Spa’s outdoor ceremony space, which allows you to wed in a natural lakeside setting.
