Edgar Wood Victoria Park is an exciting, romantic venue in Manchester standing in more than an acre of manicured gardens. This Grade I listed building was designed by and named after world-renowned architect Edgar Wood, and is widely regarded as one of the most architecturally significant buildings in Europe. Located just 10 minutes from St Peter’s Square, the stunning Art Nouveau architecture is perfect for all weddings.

The in house team can tailor wedding packages to suit personal requirements, and the catering, décor, flowers, dancefloor, music, photography and wedding planner can all be booked with the venue.

Celebrate in style
The Main Hall is a truly spectacular room, with high ceilings and space for 250 loved ones for the ceremony and reception.

Smaller nuptials can take place in the Reading Room. This area has large bay windows that provide striking views of the garden and can accommodate 60 guests for the vows.

The Green Room is where couples make their legal commitment and sign the register. It’s filled with natural light and has a beautiful emerald green art Nouveau fireplace.

The romantic gardens provide a stunning backdrop and are one of the most photogenic locations for any celebration. Perfect for drinks receptions in the summer, the space can also be used to host a marquee.

We love...
The in-house caterers, Chapman Holmes, has emerged as one of England’s highly-regarded caterers and strive to meet the highest standards in both preparation and presentation. Nearlyweds will receive a complimentary menu tasting once a date has been contracted and deposited. Edgar Wood Victoria Park has availability from January 2022 onwards.

Expert says prenups aren't just for the rich and famous

Legal experts at Richard Nelson LLP are urging Brits to rethink who prenups are really for. While often seen as something reserved for high-profile couples, data suggests they remain largely overlooked in everyday relationships. Manchester has emerged as the UK's 'prenup capital', with 13 percent of divorced couples having one in place, compared to 8 percent in London and 11 percent in Birmingham. Meanwhile, cities including Liverpool and Southampton reported no uptake among those surveyed.
