Celebrate your wedding day with a cruise along Lake Windermere

Couple sailing on Lake Windermere What better way to celebrate your wedding day than with a reception held while cruising the beautiful and scenic waters of England’s longest lake – Windermere? That is exactly what is on offer from Windermere Lake Cruises. You can hire one of the company’s vessels for the exclusive use of you and your guests.

The company’s larger vessels, including the brand new MV Swift, can accommodate wedding parties of up to 220 people. Or if you're looking for something smaller, how about one of the smaller traditional launches? Either way, the memories you will create when your onboard will last a lifetime.

It goes without saying – the photo opportunities available are incredible as you sail along on one of the most beautiful stretches of water in the world.

The vessels can offer blessings onboard or arrange a celebrant-led ceremony, but they are not licenced for actual weddings.

You can enjoy pre-or post-wedding sailings, catering and entertainment onboard. Fully trained and uniformed staff are on hand to ensure your cruise goes smoothly. The company works with local hotels so that pick-ups from hotel jetties along Windermere are available.

Jennifer Cormack, from Windermere Lake Cruises, says: “It has been lovely to see big wedding parties enjoying the full Windermere wedding charter experience once more after lockdown. I can’t think of a more wonderful and scenic way to celebrate your wedding day.”
