The Edwardian Manchester is set within the iconic Free Trade Hall, a grand Grade II* listed property with an incredible history and lots of character. Following a multi-million-pound refurbishment, the venue’s design blends contemporary style and nods to its rich past. The décor is timeless yet modern, understated yet bold, with impressive art and original detailing throughout. The five-star hotel has spacious bedrooms with floor-to-ceiling windows and many with sweeping city views, entertaining areas and outdoor spaces.

Ideally located for guests travelling from near and far, it’s within easy walking distance of mainline train stations and Manchester’s best areas for culture, shopping and nightlife, allowing guests to discover the city and its rich collection of museums and theatres.

The impressive Free Trade Hall is an iconic feature in the city’s pantheon of historic buildings, from its early inception as a symbol of political reform and a site that spurred the Suffragettes, the hall has also been graced with performances by artists such as David Bowie, Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald. The history is immortalised with plaques and commissioned pieces throughout, whilst homage is paid to contemporary Manchester through several bespoke artworks by local and UK-based artists.

Rest and relaxation
Nestled underneath the iconic colonnade is The Spa & Gym, a state-of-the- art wellness retreat in the heart of the city. Natural, tactile oak walls and a menu of mind-resetting ESPA treatments instil calm, alongside an expansive aquamarine pool with cabanas, a sauna, a steam room and a Jacuzzi.

Celebrate in style
Featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and a bespoke bumblebee wallpaper design by renowned art studio Timorous Beasties, Private Suite 4 is perfect for intimate wedding celebrations of up to 70 guests.

The Hallé is named after the renowned Hallé Orchestra and has hosted many grand performances throughout the years. Today, it’s a versatile space for big wedding parties of up to 300 loved ones, with the option to split the room to accommodate smaller numbers.

Striking yet understated, the Hallé Lounge Bar, featuring a mirrored ceiling, natural light, and a stunning stone bar, is specifically designed to accommodate statement receptions for up to 300 friends and family.
