Florencia and Fernando met at a wine fair in Argentina. “I’m a sommelier, and Fernando is a wine enthusiast with a website focused on the food and wine community,” says Florencia. “It all started as a professional relationship where I would write articles for his site, but over time we realised that our common interests ran deeper and that we loved spending time together. Being with each other has made us better, just like a good food and wine pairing!”
Fernando popped the question on 5th May, 2020. “We had just dropped my parents at the airport after they planned to visit for a three week holiday but ended up staying for eight weeks due to the first lockdown,” shares the bride. “We were back at our flat at a little past midnight and had just finished dinner when he offered me a nightcap. I was so tired and said I’d share one with him, but he insisted that I get my own. He made a light G&T and little did I know that on the ice ball that was chilling was a token engagement ring that he proposed with.”
