We interview local florist, Kate Harvey from Fabulous Flowers and Events to find out more about her business.

Q – How long have you been in the industry?
I’ve been in the wedding industry for 15 years and have a favourite flower for every season.

Q – What's your favourite flower?
I love dahlias in the autumn, peonies in the summer, big- headed red roses in the winter and tulips and sweet peas in the spring.

Q – What do you love most about your job?
I love making someone’s day, whether it be a birthday surprise, sending flowers off to a loved one or sharing a clients wedding day.

Q – Which bouquet have you loved the most and why?
The bouquet I have liked making the most has to be for my own wedding. I got to choose my flowers and do them my way. I adored them so much that I’ve had them preserved and mounted into a frame.

Q – Best tip for choosing your wedding flowers?
The best tip I have for choosing your wedding flowers is to look for options suited to the season as certain versions aren’t available all year round.
