Blackpool’s first museum dedicated to fun and entertainment is due to open in 2022. Showtown is ideal for pre-wedding celebrations and visitors will be able to get up close with the entertainers that put Blackpool on the map.
The museum will create a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the amusements that are the bedrock of the town. The experience promises to be fun, accessible and celebratory with items for the whole family to enjoy. It will feature the first permanent displays in the UK public museum on circus, magic, variety and ballroom dance with more than 800 objects.
