Having successfully hit its initial crowdfunding target of £40K, Manchester Union Brewery has created a stretched target for its Together We CAN campaign. Having lost its revenue overnight to the UK-wide lockdown, Manchester Union Brewery launched its campaign to break into commercial retail by moving its product from keg to can in the hope of catering for stores and weddings.
Jamie Scahill, the director, told us: “We’ve been overwhelmed by the support and generosity we’ve received during this challenging time. When the lockdown put a stop to business as usual, we knew we would have to be bold and act fast to keep the business afloat – but without the help of more than 500 supports who’ve pledged money to help us, it simply wouldn’t be possible for us to branch out into commercial retail as we’re now able to.”
