Q - What tips can you suggest to get my make-up looking fabulous for my big day?
"For me, looking fabulous starts with feeling fabulous. Here are a few of my top tips to ensure you look great on your big day.
"Drink more water. Hydration is the most important factor when it comes to feeling and looking great. It will improve your complexion, reduce puffiness, cause fewer lines and wrinkles and make your pores smaller. If you’re dehydrated, it will leave your face looking tired, dull and often sallow. Make an effort to drink at least three glasses of water a day on top of what you already do. Your whole body will thank you for it.
"Looking after your skin is often a priority that gets lost in our busy lives. Introducing a good routine can make the world of difference and is a great idea in the run-up to your big day. Remember, even the best foundation in the world will not give you fresh, flawless skin if a good base isn’t there to start with. Start making changes nice and early in the planning process in case products don’t agree with you. If you can, book in for a facial and seek advice on what products are suitable for you.
"Some of you may not touch your brows, and others may have monthly maintenance. Don’t write them off, it’s amazing what a simple brow tint can do. Having a clear groomed eyebrow will make your look finished and precise.
"When you’re ready to start make-up planning, book a trial with your chosen artist. Take images and inspiration of how you would love to look. Don’t be afraid! Pinterest and Instagram are great for this. The trial is your chance to play with different styles and products. If you want to up the ante but aren’t used to wearing lots of make-up, try wearing it more often. The more you wear it, the more comfortable you’ll feel on the day."
