Abbey House Hotel and Gardens in Cumbria are guaranteeing the sky will turn white at all weddings taking place in November and December 2020. The team have invested in the latest snow cannon technology to ensure a magical scene greets wedding parties as they sweep into the hotel’s fairy-lit entrance. The Winter Wonderland guarantee comes on the back of feedback from brides and grooms, who said snow at their wedding would have been the icing on the cake.

Brian Conroy, the operations director, said: “The hotel looks truly stunning when it’s decorated for the winter period, and while we are heavily booked for the coming November and December, we do have some availability. The only thing which we can never rely upon is the weather, and snow is a rarity around this time of year despite it being something that many people wish for. So we have decided that whatever the whim of Mother Nature, there will be snow at every winter wedding if that’s the wish of the happy couple.”
