Abbey House Hotel & Gardens in Cumbria has added a £20,000 golf buggy to its offerings. The buggy comes complete with monogrammed luxury upholstery, a built-in champagne bucket and is also available for friends and family with mobility issues to use throughout the day.
John Horton, the general manager, told us: “We’re always looking for ways in which we can extend what the hotel offers to its guests. The new buggy has created a real buzz amongst the team, and its versatility means it can be used for a number of purposes. It has already been used to take happy couples planning their wedding on tours of the grounds, and it will also be on hand when their big day arrives. Importantly, the buggy opens up the hotel’s wider gardens to guests who perhaps in the past have not had the opportunity to enjoy them in all their glory.”
