When Charlotte met Daniel in a pub in Greenwich, they hit it off right away. "The conversation was good, and we were instantly attracted to one another," says Charlotte. "We fell madly in love and have been together ever since. Daniel asked me to marry him in January 2014 while we were visiting Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf & Spa for my birthday. We were admiring the grand spiral staircase when he asked me to be his wife." Here she shares some of her favourite moments from their big day...
We chose to get married at West Tower because we liked the idea of having the place to ourselves and not having to move between the ceremony and reception. The staff were great and accommodated our request to have the ballroom and conservatory open throughout the day, which made excellent use of the natural light and surrounding views.
For our centrepieces, we wanted something simple, so we decided to place flowers in hurricane vases.
Special Occasions Florist provided our flowers. We chose ivory roses and foliage.
We purchased giant white balloons and filled the room with them.
West Tower did our catering. We opted for a hog roast, a cake made of cheese and a sweet cart.
Our cake was a simple, elegant design from Marks & Spencer. It was three tiers and tasted amazing.
My dress was from Vera Wang's White Collection and looked fabulous. I accessorised with Jimmy Choo shoes, a veil from Britten weddings and a Monica Vinader bangle.
To keep our guests entertained, we hired a string trio to play before, during and after the ceremony.
We hired a travelling casino and a Rat Pack trio, who were a hit with all our friends and family.
Daniel wore a navy suit, a tie, an Omega watch, cufflinks and French Connection shoes.
The bridesmaids chose beautiful navy dresses from Monsoon.
Daniel and I felt surprisingly relaxed, excited and emotional on the morning of the wedding.
When our son saw me in my dress, his face was priceless, and it was such a lovely memory that I'll never forget.
My top tip for any bride-to-be would be to hire a videographer. Daniel decided the day before the wedding that we should hire one, and luckily Everwood Films were able to help us.
We're so grateful to all of our loved ones for making us feel so special and to ourfriends who travelled from the U.S. and Australia to celebrate with us.
My brother walked me down the aisle, which was incredibly emotional.
For our honeymoon, we went to Tulum, Mexico, for 11 nights. The holiday was perfect, and the highlight was swimming in an underground river with our son.
