MY WARDROBE HQ - the UK's first fashion rental marketplace - has teamed up with Liberty London to bring a pop-up space into this iconic Great Marlborough street store. Liberty is embracing the future of shopping with a pop-up which is located on the 1st floor in women's fashion throughout this month and March 2020.

The pop-up will feature a selection of designer womenswear clothing and accessories from past and present seasons that have been selected by the Liberty buying team and will be available to customers to rent for a period of time. The aim is to give customers an opportunity to discover a more sustainable way of shopping by championing the mantra: 'buy better, buy less (rent it out)'.

MY WARDROBE HQ will encourage Liberty shoppers to not only rent the items available in its pop-up, but also encourage conscious consumption by asking customers to consider the impact of fast fashion and realise the benefit of purchasing high quality items. Liberty will be the first UK department store to innovate and bring alive the 'sharing economy' in fashion. Introducing MY WARDROBE HQ as a rental concept for clientele to use in store is in tune with what consumers want today. Liberty is tapping into the movement of clientele who want to share clothing and shop sustainably. MY WARDROBE HQ is a platform where you can rent items for anything between one day and one year. If you fall in love with the piece, you can buy it too.

Sacha Newall, co-founder and CEO of MY WARDROBE HQ says, "We are delighted Liberty London is joining us to be a disruptor and a revolutionary when it comes to sustainable fashion. Together our message is about buying well and investing in designer items and then sharing them to help green fashion. MY WARDROBE HQ is symbolic of how the fashion industry is changing and Liberty London recognised this first! The millennial has the mindset of 'no ownership', purchasing and sharing clothing is a great way for anyone to explore fashion this way."

Tina Lake, director of new business development and co-founder of MY WARDROBE HQ adds, "We all open our wardrobes and see things we have only worn once or items still with labels on. However many clothes you have, you still want more! With MY WARDROBE HQ, Liberty London customers can make that investment purchase, make money and save the planet from fast-fashion at the same time. We can't wait to be in store at Liberty London and following our pop up we will be excitedly waiting for clientele to bring their shopping to us to rent out and work on their behalf to fund their shopping habits!"

It's a great idea for wedding guests in this Instagrammable age, where nobody likes to be seen in the same outfit twice. The selected pieces also include clutch bags perfect for brides, and accessories ideal for stylish bridesmaids.
